“The Distinguished Storyteller Award honors storytellers outside of journalism whose dazzling skills bring fiction to vivid life. With his vibrant imagination and dedication to richly layered storytelling, Quentin Tarantino has established himself as one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his generation.” – Los Angeles Press Club
Writer, director, producer, and film historian Quentin Tarantino is set to receive the Los Angeles Press Club’s Distinguished Storyteller Award at the 12th Annual National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards Gala on December 1 at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. This year’s gala awards ceremony for journalistic excellence, career achievement and contributions to society is dedicated to the memory of Robert Forster, the very first host of these awards and a cherished friend of the LA Press Club. Tarantino is the second recipient of the Distinguished Storyteller Award, following inaugural honoree Michael Connelly, and is slated to be introduced by his Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx. This special event is open to the public (business or semi-formal attire required) and tickets are now available online.
