Celebrating 17 years of championing independent film and celebrating extraordinary filmmaking from around the world, the Burbank International Film Festival announced this year’s festivities running September 23rd – 28th, including a full slate of film screenings and industry panels, headlined by a gala awards ceremony that will salute Oscar-winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino with their prestigious Vanguard Award. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Quentin will be honored on September 28th at the Marriott Burbank, where the mayor of El Segundo will issue a special proclamation declaring the date “Quentin Tarantino Day.” Quentin will then participate in a career-spanning Q&A moderated by Scott Feinberg.
