Welcome to Adventureland, where the worst job imaginable is about to inadvertently turn into the summer that changes everything. Recent college grad, James Brennan had big plans to spend the summer on a life-altering trek through Europe, but when his parents have financial troubles James gets a summer job at the run down local amusement park, Adventureland, where he falls in love with a witty co-worker, Emily Lewin.
