Hard hat days and honky-tonk nights. Bud Davis (John Travolta) is the Urban Cowboy, toiling by day at a Texas oil refinery and partying at night at Houston’s most popular western nightclub. When local cowgirl Sissy (Debra Winger) two-steps into his life, it’s love at first site. But Bud’s views on traditional gender roles and jealousy over a romantic rival (Scott Glenn), not to mention mechanical bull riding, threaten to upend their rocky relationship.
