Judy Canova is the only child of a proud but wacky family of military veterans, and the men of the clan have always regretted they didn’t have a son to carry on the tradition. But Canova astonishes everyone when she enlists as a WAC, with the underlying motivation to be closer to her latest crush, Lt. Mayfield (Stephen Dunne). Town bombshell, Doris (June Vincent) has the same idea, and the two end up competing for his affections. Assigned to a top secret missile testing ground, where Mayfield is working with scientists, the pair run into unexpected surprises. With Irene Ryan (Granny from TV’s “The Beverly Hillbillies”) co-starring as a hardboiled WAC sergeant.
