The Mummy’s Shroud

The Mummy’s Shroud is a 1967 Hammer Production about an expedition to find the tomb of Kah-to-Bey, an Egyptian prince who died fleeing a coup led by his murderous uncle. The expedition team, thought lost, finds the tomb and is saved by the rich industrialist who financed the trip. Of course, this being a Mummy film, all those who enter the tomb end up cursed, with a local man bringing the prince’s protector back to life to kill the desecrators. What follows is an engaging Hammer production that, though missing their signature actors, still entertains and evokes nostalgia for the bygone era of Hammer, the indisputable best makers of British horror films.
