Famed Hammer horror stars Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee team with director Terence Fisher for The Mummy. Cushing is an archeologist who unearths the tomb of an Egyptian princess, causing death to follow his team back to their native England. Lee portrays Kharis, the princess’ unrequited love in life and avenger in death, whose actions are controlled by the reading of an ancient scroll. Cushing and Lee face off, as they were to do in many another Hammer production, some also helmed by Fisher. It doesn’t get better than the colorful, horrific antics emblazoned on the big screen by these three master filmmakers.
