Following the hype surrounding the 1976 remake of King Kong, the Shaw Brothers produced this incredibly entertaining entry in the “giant ape” genre from director Ho Meng-hua (Black Magic). When a young adventurer (Danny Lee from The Killer) heads into the Himalayas, he finds not only the giant, hairy ape-man of the title but also a stunning blonde “jungle girl” played by Evelyne Kraft – and a love triangle that leads to destruction for all!!
