To honor the late Dan Haggerty we begin our February salute to kid-friendly Westerns with his iconic role as Grizzly Adams in the hit film that spawned the popular TV series and made him a star! Accused of a crime he didn’t commit, James “Grizzly” Adams leaves his home and escapes into the mountains to live off the land. He rescues a bear cub he names Ben, who soon grows into a full-size grizzly and becomes his constant companion. Together with Ben, Grizzly Adams learns to live in harmony with nature and discovers that he has a special ability to befriend wild animals.
