In this mind-bending thriller from Brian De Palma, Kirk Douglas plays a former CIA agent whose son is kidnapped by Ben Childress (John Cassavetes), the head of a secret intelligence organization training psychics to be used as weapons by the US military. After surviving an assassination attempt, Douglas teams up with a teenage girl (Amy Irving) who has also been recruited for the secret program, and together they try to rescue his son.
