Disney serves up another animal family affair! Thought to only be “nothing but a suck-egg biscuit eater” by bird dog trainer Harve McNeil (Earl Holliman), a dog gets sold to a gas station attendant. But Harve’s son Lonnie (played by New Bev fave Johnny Whitaker of Tom Saywer fame) and his best friend Text (George Spell, who played Sidney Poitier’s son in They Called Me Mr. Tibbs!) trade to get the dog back. They aim to make the dog (who they’ve named “Moreover”) a prize bird dog but complications occur when it’s found that Moreover might be better than Harve’s champion.
