In Jackie Kong’s ooey gooey monster movie The Being, the denizens Pottsville, Idaho are disappearing in gruesome fashion, with only piles of green slime left where they once stood. With Easter approaching and afraid the bad press will damage the town’s potato industry, the mayor (José Ferrer) hires a chemical safety engineer (Martin Landau) to investigate. But the local detective (producer Bill Osco) thinks those two may know more than they’re letting on, and it may have to do with the mysterious nearby garbage dump.
