A haunting and atmospheric psychological thriller from director Don Siegel based on the Thomas Cullinan novel, The Beguiled stars Clint Eastwood as an injured Yankee soldier sheltered at an isolated all-girls Southern boarding school (headmistress Geraldine Page!) during the tail end of the Civil War. But as Clint recuperates, the sexually repressed students and staff become a tinderbox of jealousy and deceit, and he’s not sure who he can trust with his love or his life in this simmering Southern Gothic.
