Written & directed by Curtis Hanson (based on an Anne Holden book), The Bedroom Window is a heart-pounding psychological thrill-ride reminiscentof an ’80s update of Hitchcock’s Rear Window via the attitude of the De Palma decade. When a yuppie (Police Academy‘s Steve Guttenberg) lies about witnessing a violent crime to protect the identity of the woman with whom he’s having an affair, he quickly shoots to the top of the cops’ suspect list. But to prove his innocence, he’ll have to team with the victim to find the real culprit before he strikes again.
