In 1974, Hugh Masekela and famed record producer Stewart Levine assembled some of the most electrifying African and African-American acts for the Zaire 74 three-day music festival in Kinshasha to accompany the Rumble in the Jungle boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. The bout was delayed but the festival carried on.
