Owners of a Colorado ski resort attempt to minimize the impact when several skiers go missing. Sheriff Paraday (Clint Walker) has an uneasy feeling. When a bitterly disillusioned former gold medalist skier (Bo Svenson, Walking Tall 2) and his fed-up TV reporter wife (Yvette Mimieux) arrive, the crisis really escalates, especially when the town’s Winter Carnival is attacked by the hungry snowman. Something’s got to be done about this Snowbeast! Writer Joseph Stefano (Psycho, the original “Outer Limits”) does what he can with a familiar premise in this Jaws-on-the-ski-slopes programmer.
