Saddle the Wind

The Rod Serling-scripted Saddle the Wind is a memorably intense psychological western in which weary, ex-gunslinger Robert Taylor’s peaceful ranch life is brutally interrupted by the arrival of his hot-tempered, violent younger brother (John Cassavetes) and his new dance-hall girl wife (Julie London, who also sings the title song).

“Rod Serling’s screenplay is colorful and exciting and director Robert Parrish has kept [Saddle the Wind] keyed high for a fast, exciting picture. Robert Taylor, Julie London and John Cassavetes act out this tale of compulsive evil against the magnificent location backgrounds of the Colorado Rockies.” – Variety
