Rookie of the Year

Comedy hits a home run when Home Alone’s Daniel Stern directs Rookie of the Year! As our March Bat-tacular comes to a close, we’re celebrating a different kind of bat, a baseball bat, just in time for Opening Day. Little Leaguer Henry Rowengartner (American Pie’s Thomas Ian Nicholas) gets the opportunity of a lifetime when the cast comes off his broken arm and he’s miraculously gifted with the ability to throw 100-mile-an-hour fastballs. But he’ll have to learn how to juggle family & friends with a new gig in the major leagues if he’s going to help guide the Chicago Cubs to the World Series.

“If you are a kid, and you have ever for a moment wondered what it would be like to play major-league ball at your age, then take it from the old Little Leaguer and see this movie.” – Roger Ebert
