Music, drugs, and love abound in this psychedelic film shot by legendary American New Wave cinematographer László Kovács. Deaf runaway Jenny (Susan Strasberg) flees to San Francisco in search of her brother Steve, an artist known around Haight-Ashbury as “The Seeker” (Bruce Dern). On her search, Jenny befriends local hippies Stoney (Jack Nicholson) and Dave (Dean Stockwell), who help her adjust to the unfamiliar locale. She will need all the assistance she can get, as it turns it out, she may not be the only person “seeking” Steve.
