While our allotment of advance tickets has sold out online, some additional tickets will be available to purchase at the door on a first come, first served basis on the night of the show. There’s something in the water at Lost River Lake. Something you can’t see… something you can’t feel… until it’s too late! When flesh-hungry piranhas are accidentally released in the waterway, the toothy beasts will look to the residents of a nearby resort for their next meal. Director Joe Dante unleashes a go-for-broke, b-movie-blast scripted by John Sayles and produced by Roger Corman in response to Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. It’s an energetic & joyously entertaining fishploitation mashup of bloody violence and sadistic laughs, with a stacked cast of character actor faces (including Kevin McCarthy, Keenan Wynn, Dick Miller, Barbara Steele, and Paul Bartel), effects work from Phil Tippett and a young Rob Bottin, and a score by Pino Donaggio.
