Lina Wertmüller’s political tragicomedy Love & Anarchy follows an idealistic farmer (Cannes Best Actor winner Giancarlo Giannini) who falls in love with a prostitute (Mariangela Melato) while preparing to avenge a friend’s death with the assassination of Mussolini.
