William Friedkin’s Killer Joe

A totally twisted deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story.

The most recent film from director William Friedkin is a dark and tense black comedy crime story concerning a small-time drug dealer (Emile Hirsch) who wants to have his mother killed so he can claim the insurance money. When he hires a crooked cop who moonlights as a hitman, Killer Joe (Matthew McConaughey) decides to hold onto the younger sister (Juno Temple) as collateral until his fee can be paid.
