The original tagline for this double bill, “2 Great Blood Horrors to Rip Out Your Guts!” was one of the funniest and most famous of the 1970s. But no guts get ripped out in this tamer B&W second feature directed by Del Tenney (Horror of Party Beach) which originally went under several titles, including Zombie and Voodoo Bloodbath. Producer/distributor of both Blood and Skin, famed gore schlockmeister Jerry Gross had been unable to sell this 1964 picture until a brilliant ad man had the idea of teaming the two films with the I Drink…/I Eat… title changes. I Eat Your Skin follows a playboy journalist (William Joyce) with a thing for the ladies, researching his new book in the Caribbean and discovering cancer research at a jungle experimental station is really a front for turning its subjects into zombies with radioactive snake venom. Second unit work was lensed by infamous Florida-based exploitationer William Grefe.
