Jacobs, who is known for The Planet of the Apes films (look for Ape Week! In 2017) and co-written by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book and Snoopy Come Home to name a few), the film stars Jeff East as Huckleberry Finn (you saw him last year as the young Clark Kent in Superman) and Paul Winfield (Oscar nominee for Sounder) as the slave Jim.
