Break out the brooms and black cats, one of Disney’s greatest big-screen spookshows is screening in 35mm! The long dormant Sanderson Sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy) are set to conjure up a cauldron of ghoulish delight while running amok on All Hallow’s Eve. When the three 17th century Salem witches are accidentally summoned by modern-day pranksters, the 300 year old trio sets out to reclaim their youth but first must outwit the three pesky kids (Eerie, Indiana’s Omri Katz as a cynical teen transplant from exotic Los Angeles, a pre-Ghost World Thora Birch, and a post-Ladybugs Vinessa Shaw) and a talking feline (!!) out to stop them. Directed by Emmy-winning choreagrapher Kenny Ortega and penned by genre master Mick Garris, Hocus Pocus is light on its feet and freaky, family-friendly fun. It’ll put a spell on you.
