What goes on in prison is a crime. The film adaptation of John Herbert’s controversial play follows a new inmate’s brutal life behind bars. Sentenced to a short stint, Smitty will have to navigate cellblock politics and the prison’s sexual pecking order if he’s to make it out alive. Featuring Wendell Burton (The Sterile Cuckoo) as Smitty, Zooey Hall (I Dismember Mama) as the quietly commanding Rocky, and an unforgettable Michael Greer as Queenie.
