Crossed Swords

Director Richard Fleischer’s all-star adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic novel The Prince and the Pauper features Oliver! star Mark Lester in dual roles as both  poor boy in 16th century England and the young prince he closely resembles and trades places with. Also starring Oliver Reed, Raquel Welch, Ernest Borgnine, George C. Scott, Rex Harrison, David Hemmings and Charlton Heston, with cinematography by the great Jack Cardiff.
