Unpretentious B movie auteur William Witney is back again, this time teaming singing cowboy Rex Allen with sidekick Slim Pickens as the two travel to a ranch for the reading of a will. Slim is one of several heirs, including Jacqueline Reynolds (Mary Ellen Kay) from the East and brother/sister duo, Dan and Carrie (Fred Graham and June Vincent), who own the local lumber mill and believed they were to be sole beneficiaries. It soon becomes clear the two are up to no good, trying to pressure the others to sell out their shares so they can harvest the timber on the land. Soon murders transpire. Carrie emerges as the ringleader, with actress Vincent (Black Angel) relishing her role, pulling out all the stops as wicked as they come. With gunmen firing away, victims poisoned right and left and surprise flash floods threatening the townsfolk, will Rex and compadres have time to croon a few frontier tunes? You bet!
