Neil Dunlap drinks to forget, and forget he does! After being left by his wife for another man, the hotshot lawyer (Clive Brook) spends a night on the town bingeing in the presence of his friend Gustav Saxon (Paul Lukas) and some questionable clientele. Neil is shocked to find Pansy Gray (Ruth Chatterton), a charming yet untamed showgirl, in his sitting room the next morning, but he’s even more shocked to find out she’s his new wife! Can circumstance bring two strangers together in domestic bliss? It’s anybody’s guess in Anybody’s Woman!
