Director Paul Morrissey and producer Andy Warhol present an outrageous mix of transgressive humor, 1970s sexuality, and graphic horror in their infamous take on the Dracula legend. In search of virgin blood to survive, an ailing Count (the incomparable Udo Kier) travels to Italy, where he’s welcomed into the crumbling castle of a man desperate to marry off his daughters. But finding an unsullied bite may be difficult, especially with studly Warhol superstar Joe Dallesandro co-starring as the estate’s Marxist handyman.
