A showcase of Alice Cooper in full flower, directed by infamous choreographer David Winters (whose credits include Elvis and Ann-Margret films, Monkees episodes, Raquel Welch’s TV extravaganza “Raquel!”, Nancy Sinatra’s “Movin’ with Nancy” and the insane “Star Wars Holiday Special”). Much of Alice’s more politically incorrect visuals were jettisoned, replaced by elaborate PG-friendly stage props representing a young boy’s nightmare of skeletons, graveyards and spiders, with disembodied voice-overs by none-other than Vincent Price! The concert footage was culled from shows done in London in 1975, including hit songs “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “I’m Eighteen,” “Only Women Bleed,” “Billion Dollar Babies” and “School’s Out.” The initial release was a box office flop but Nighmare went onto become a reliable standby on the midnight movie circuit.
