Air Mail

Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. Seven years before Howard Hawks’ Only Angels Have Wings, director John Ford helms a tale following a tight-knit group of air mail pilots risking their lives through dangerous weather and over treacherous terrain.  When a flyer is killed in a fiery crash, the head aviator (Ralph Bellamy) will be forced to hire a reckless daredevil (Pat O’Brien) as a replacement.
