The maestro wins for The Hateful Eight

In advance of this month’s final showing of The Hateful Eight this Friday, September 23, at midnight, we look back to one of our biggest highlights of the year! After five previous nominations, as well as an honorary award, one of cinema’s greatest composers, Ennio Morricone, finally won his first competitive Oscar for Best Original Score at the age of 87. Walking to the podium for his stunning musical collaboration on Quentin Tarantino’s snowbound western, the audience at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, as well as us at home, were on their feet celebrating the commanding work of a true genius.
