Don Siegel’s Escape From Alcatraz is based on the incredible true story of the escape attempt carried out by inmates Frank Morris, John Anglin, and Clarence Anglin from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in June of 1962. Morris (Clint Eastwood) arrives at Alcatraz, and although he makes acquaintances easily, he is met with adversity from the spiteful Warden and a hostile inmate known as the Wolf. Following a sudden loss, and fed up with the prison administration, Morris and his crew begin devising an intricate plan of escape.
