Tarantino fans have been imagining for years what a film might look like that fills in the familial back story between Reservoir Dogs’ Vic Vega (Michael Madsen) and Pulp Fiction’s Vincent Vega (John Travolta). Now one clever Canadian editor has pieced together a fun trailer pulling footage from a wide variety of the Madsen and Travolta back catalogue to showcase what The Vega Brothers could look like.
Trailer editor Tyler Hopkins says “this is my ’90s inspired trailer for a film that might never get made: Quentin Tarantino’s The Vega Brothers. Using a number of films from the era, I set out to make a trailer that would add to Vic and Vincent’s backstory. It’s my attempt to show how they arrive at the point we meet them in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, respectively. The style of the edit was inspired by all those great straight-to-video films of the ’90s… many of which were used to create this trailer.”
