Lee Van Cleef (January 9, 1925 – December 16, 1989) – the iconic American actor whose piercing eyes and distinctive looks lead to a string of tough guy roles in Hollywood before reaching international super-stardom with a streak of incredible Spaghetti Westerns in the late ’60s, including Sergio Leone’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), Sergio Sollima’s The Big Gundown (1966), Giulio Petroni’s Death Rides A Horse (1967) and Gianfranco Parolini’s Sabata (1969).
