Operation Mad Ball

In a US military hospital in post-WWII France, Jack Lemmon plays a bored Army private perpetually enamored with the nearby nurses and forever trying to outwit his commanding officer (Ernie Kovacs). His greatest mission will be to organize a top-secret dance so his fellow enlisted men can fraternize with the women who outrank them. Cue Operation Mad Ball, a hilarious comedy filmed entirely without the Army’s co-operation. Kathryn Grant, Arthur O’Connell, Mickey Rooney, Dick York, and James Darren co-star.

Good Neighbor Sam

Sam Bissell is your average hard-working, American family man – that is until his wife’s best friend asks him to pose as her husband to gain an inheritance. While the new Mr. and Mrs. Bissell toil to hide the truth from her family and his employer, the real Mr. Ebbets returns home and throws a wrench in the plan! Can the four of them keep up the ruse long enough to get the money? Jack Lemmon is great as Good Neighbor Sam, with fantastic supporting roles for Romy Schneider, Dorothy Provine, and Mike Connors.
