The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas

While our allotment of advance tickets has sold out online, additional tickets will be available to purchase at the door the night of the show, first come, first served.

A delightfully ghoulish stop motion stunner, Tim Burton’s spellbinding musical fairy tale is a feast for the imagination. When Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween, stumbles across the festive delights of Christmas, he decides he must escape his same spooky routine and make the Yuletide his own. But his merry mischief causes more mayhem than magic, proving our skeletal star still has much to learn about the true meaning of the holiday. Director Henry Selick crams exquisite detail into every inch of the frame, crafting a visual milestone that continues to amaze 25 years later. Danny Elfman provides the Grammy-nominated tunes, as well as the singing voice of Jack.

“Visually a macabre knockout, this 75-minute fantasy boasts some of the wittiest, most vigorous stop-motion animation effects in the history of the process.” – John Hartl, Seattle Times

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a major step forward for both stop-motion animation, which is stunningly well used, and for Mr. Burton himself. He now moves from the level of extremely talented eccentric to that of Disney-style household word.” – Janet Maslin, The New York Times

“[Tim Burton’s] box-office clout, courtesy of the Batman films, helped persuade Disney to green-light what may be the most personal piece of animation – and one of the most personal films, period – ever to come out of that studio.” – Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times
