Anyone here have restaurant recommendations near the Bev ?

    My personal favorites are probably:

Joom Bangkok Cafe at Beverly / Fairfax

M Cafe at Melrose / La Brea

Pita Bar & Grill on Fairfax just south of Melrose

Love anything done in their charcoal tandoor oven, especially prawns. They make my favorite aloo gobi in LA. The naan is golden and smoky.

Cardamom is just 2 blocks west of the New Bev.

    Stir Market
They get so much right at Stir, in particular their roast chicken and porchetta. Both dishes are full of all the richness and flavor of a home-cooked meal. Served with roasted potatoes and salad. Porchetta is roasted pork, heavily herbed with the skin done to crackling stage. Feel like pancakes? World class lemon ricotta pancakes piled with butter and real syrup.

Stir is west of the New Bev at Beverly and Gardner.

    Escuela Taqueria
In a city blessed with the most innovative taco menus in the world, Escuela belongs on the top 10 list, in my opinion. I love the buttery lobster taco and the Jamon & Queso loaded with crispy pancetta, Jack cheese, and avo.
Escuela is located on Beverly, near Stanley, across from Erewhon.

    Welcome to the board, aisleseat!

I’ve been meaning to check out Stir for awhile – thanks for the reminder!

Tatsu Ramen behind Pinks on Melrose at Beverly is great and open late. I like to stop there after catching a double at the Bev.
