Ugh, hate that there could be so many of these tributes recently!

The good news is, great work can be celebrated.

Would love to see Toshio Matsumoto’s films at the Bev. He doesn’t have that many either! Only four features total.

Maybe a double bill of “Funeral Parade of Roses” (a direct inspiration for Kubrick’s “Clockwork Orange”) with “Demons”???

Well, the good news is Cinelicious, who did the excellent restoration of BELLADONNA OF SADNESS last year, are going to be releasing a 4k remaster of FUNERAL PARADE OF ROSES.

The bad news is that this will likely be digital only without any 35mm print availability, so it won’t be playing the Bev. But I’ll certainly go check it out wherever it plays!

meheuck, it’s doing an exclusive run at the Cinefamily starting this weekend.
