I think this could def be a good idea and pack the house.

There’s a ton to choose from here.

    Obviously there’s the classics:
    – Tarantino’s Jackie Brown
    – Soderbergh’s Out of Sight
    – Barry Sonnenfeld’s Get Shorty
    – Budd Boetticher’s The Tall T
    – Martin Ritt’s Hombre
    – Delmer Daves’s 3:10 To Yuma
    – John Sturges’ Joe Kid
    – Richard Fleischer’s Mr. Majestyk
The Big Bounce dir. by: Alex March

But it could be really interesting to show the rarely-screened curios/deep cuts:

    Burt Reynolds-directed Stick
    Abel Ferrara’s Cat Chaser
Jim McBride’s made-for-TV film, Pronto (starring Peter Falk)
    Paul Schrader’s little-known Touch
    John Frankenheimer 52 Pick Up
    John Madden Kill Shot
The Moonshine Kid dir. by: Richard Quine
Valdez is Coming dir. by: Edwin Sherin
High Noon Pt. 2 dir by Jerry Jameson
    The Ambassador J. Lee Thompson
The Rosary Murders by Fred Walton

    Good call!

I’m a big fan of Burt Reynolds and while Stick isn’t his best ’80s crime flick (that’s a tie between Heat and Sharky’s Machine) , I’d still love to see it on screen.

52 Pick Up is amazing and would also work great in the LA Movies thread.

I’ve never seen The Rosary Murders but recently picked up the new Kino Lorber blu-ray. Thanks for the reminder that I should bump that to the top of my to-watch stack.
