The filmmaker's masterclass discussion at the Lumière Film Festival.

As we reported a few weeks ago, Quentin Tarantino traveled to the the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon, France this month to present a series of films from 1970 as part of his study of the crucial year in cinematic history when New Hollywood became THE Hollywood.

On October 12th, Tarantino joined Thierry Frémaux,  director of the Institut Lumière and head of the Cannes Film Festival, at the Auditorium of Lyon for a masterclass discussion focusing on how the movies from that pivotal year reflected their changing times, Tarantino’s specific passions as a moviegoer and what the filmmaker’s working on next. Hint: it could be a documentary, podcast, book or maybe even something here at the New Bev. Culturebox has now posted video of the full, nearly two hour talk in five parts which you can watch below.
