Tracy Letts talks BUG

The award-winning playwright stopped by for a Q&A for his films Bug and Killer Joe.

You never know just who you might see when you come to the New Bev and this weekend we were delighted & surprised to welcome Pulitzer Prize winning playwright / screenwriter Tracy Letts and editor Darrin Navarro for an impromptu Q&A at our double feature of their films BUG and KILLER JOE. In the lively discussion, the duo talked about working with director William Friedkin, adapting plays for the big screen, the intensity of Michael Shannon and the studio mishandling and subsequent box office disappointment of BUG. It was the perfect cap to our month-long tribute to director Friedkin.

Ben Kenber at Examiner.com did an excellent article that includes some of the highlights and we encourage you to take a look here.
