Sydney's interest in film was planted by a father who would pick her up early from school in order to catch the noon showings of such new millennium classics as O, Brother Where Art Thou?, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Kung Fu Hustle. This interest sprouted throughout the years, with a continued education in spaghetti westerns and John Wayne films (Junior Mints included, of course). In high school, she and her friends evaded the tedium of living in their conservative, small town by sharing bootlegs of Harmony Korine films and making mixtapes of experimental music for one another.

Eventually, Sydney wandered off to college and studied Biology for a few years before returning to her love, and earning a degree in Film Studies. After graduation, she traveled to Europe by herself to check out the film scene and figure out what she wanted to do with her life. Upon her return, she decided to pick up and move to Los Angeles, and is using her 20's to learn, read, travel, and watch as much as she can! Suggestions welcome!
